Kids and coding
Many students enjoy using technology at school. A lot of the time technology is used to teach subjects like math or reading while improving a students computer skills. An alternative to using technology to teach core subjects would be to use technology to teach students how to program technology. Incorporating coding into a classroom can interest students while they learn.

Coding can be taught through online games. There are many free websites where students can learn to code by playing games. The games require the student to focus and pay careful attention to what they are doing. The games can help students learn these important skills by interesting them in what they are learning. As the students progress through the levels, the levels will become more and more difficult teaching students harder way of coding.

There are different languages in coding. Java, C, Python, and visual blocks are some of the languages that can be taught through games. If coding is taught as visual blocks, like the ones in coding games, it can later be translated into harder languages. Coding is all around us and is getting more and more common with the growth of technology. With this it is important students learn the basics of coding and if they want to learn more they have the resources to do so.
